What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
I don’t have an exact number for this, but I bet a majority of us turn over and immediately look at our phones. For missed messages, notifications, and to start scrolling to see what happened over the last 8 hours.
Next thing you know, 15 minutes have gone by, you’re still lying in bed, and now you need to rush to get going.
Day after day.
Today, consider how you start the day.
U.S. Navy Admiral William H. McRaven is the author of the famous book “Make Your Bed,” which some of you may be familiar with. A major premise of it is to start your day with a small win. Something as simple as making your bed. Wake up, get out of bed, make it, get going.
Scrolling on your phone is not productive.
Do something.
I think it’s one of the quickest ways to lead to a productive day.
For me, it’s just get up and start moving.
What is one thing you do each morning that helps set you on the right path for the rest of the day?
